Career Development Retreat for Postdocs

While doing a postdoc is an exciting time in a researcher's career, it also comes with its challenges. The difficulties of the past couple of years created extra obstacles to networking and developing a research career. This retreat is a unique opportunity to meet other postdocs in the atmospheric and related sciences, make new connections, share experiences, and prepare for the next career steps. Participants will have the opportunity to explore Breckenridge. (Note: Breckenridge sits at 9600 feet (2.92 Kilometers) in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado so we strongly advise you to hydrate before you arrive to reduce the chance of getting altitude sickness) 

Topics of the retreat were curated by postdocs at NCAR|UCAR and include: DEI training, project management, leadership and communication skills, and personal finance and planning. 5.12 Solutions, a leadership development group, and NCAR staff will facilitate the retreat, with additional speakers and facilitators rounding out the program.
