Early Career offers unique and comprehensive training opportunities for emerging scientists to cultivate their abilities. Through structured curriculums that encompass vital leadership skills, mentorships from seasoned scientists, and immersive hands-on experiences, participants will develop the competencies required to get a head start in scientific roles. **Please note that this is for NSF NCAR/UCAR staff only.**

2025 Early Career Leadership Program

The Early Career Leadership Program or ECLP is a seven week opportunity for early-career scientists and technical staff at NSF NCAR and UCP to develop leadership skills and a sense of cohort with peers across the organization, while learning about the organization. Potential topics include: effective communication, self-awareness, listening as a leader, the leadership; emotional intelligence; listening as a leader, equity and inclusion; networking; mentoring; scientific and technical communication; and more. This program is sponsored by NSF NCAR EdEC.
